This box set consists of six romances that are all separate and totally different standalones. I would categorize most of these stories as sweet and beautifully tender, rather than steamy. They aren't very long, but all are complete stories of hard working, independent women and the broken-in-some-way men they fall in love with. There definitely is a need for some editing, but I didn't want to reduce my rating because of that as I felt the writing and story lines were actually very good. Most of them I really didn't want to put down.Below is a brief review of each:
MR. SPADE
Nice, romantic, and kinda sweet. I just loved Daphne, a character who loves unconditionally and deserves to be loved in return...a character everyone will be rooting for.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY
This one started out with a slow burning attraction between the protagonists, but with a chemistry that would not be denied. Then it morphed into a mystery of a hidden secret that made this hard to put down. As the build-up to that secret emerged and my suspicions turned out to be correct, the reason for the secret made the ending just perfect.
This one was 5 star for me.
KILLER INSTINCT
This one was a bit of a stretch as far as reality goes. It wasn't the greatest, but it had me chuckling at times and I found it entertaining with its quirky characters.
UNFIXABLE
A beautiful second chance between two souls whose love could not be denied. It's sweet and heart wrenching at times.
MISSION OF THE HEART
In this one it was refreshing to have a romance between two fifty-somethings, and it also had some suspense.
ENGRAVED
I couldn't put this one down. It grabbed me right from the first chapter with its mystery and anticipation of love and romance. How could any romantic not be drawn in with lines such as this:
“If love was water, I’d send you the sea.” 💘

At 99¢ on Kindle, this is a bargain box set, especially when you are getting six good stories that can be read anytime you need something quick or just want to read them all at once.
I for one am glad I finally read all these after having this set on my TBR stack for almost two years.

This set of stories was interesting, but needed better proofreading!! Seemed to be written too rapidly and needed to be gone over again before printing!
There were six novels within this bundle. None of these stories were my style of reading matter. Actually three of the stories I just skimmed thru as there wasn't anything in the text that held my interest. The remaining stories were cute and somewhat entertaining. Not enough suspense and action to hold a readers interest.
Great book club. Love all the varieties of meals offered.
mistakes in the grammar and misspellings. I could figure out what it was supposed to be but it often broke the flow of my reading. Please get an editor before publishing again.
All of these books are great reads except for the enormous amount of typos. Easy reading and nothing too heavy.
I don't normal give less then a four star but this time I am. This is a box set and my review is based on the first book only because that was all I read.
I don't usual have a hard time finishing a book but this time I did. It's not that the book was horrible, it just realty didn't have much interaction between the characters and it seemed to be just what the female character thought. You didn't get any idea of what the male character was thinking.
I didn't even trying the next book.
